A Searchable Graphical Database of Language Change based on Wiktionary’s Etymological and Phonetic Data

A CSC-475 Seminar Project by William Zoeller

Trace a word through its historical development and see how each step changes!

This is a work in progress research project for Furman's CSC-475 seminar class. The goal of this project is to create a searchable graphical database of language change based on Wiktionary's etymological and phonetic data. The database will allow users to trace the historical development of English words and see how each step changes. The project is still in its early stages, but I hope to have a much more functional prototype by the end of the semester.
